Why would you buy a sandwich?

I see a lot of you who do at Safeway, Nob Hill, Togo's, Subway, and other places. Unless, you are completely incapable of inserting a sliced turkey breast and vegetables inside a sandwich bread...really? Or  if you forgot your lunch, of course you don't want to drive all the way to your house if it's far to grab it. But if you are buying lunch everyday? Think of what you could buy with the money you save in one year if you bring your own food to work or school.

Here's how inexpensive it really is to make your own healthy sandwich.

     4 pcs. of Bread: $1.99

Some turkey breast from the deli $3.17

These are the left over ingredients after I made 1 sandwich

Here's an estimate of how much I spent on 1 healthy and delicious sandwich:

Tomato = 50 cents (1 piece) used only a slice, so 10 cents?
Cucumber = 33 cents (1 piece) used only 1/2, so 17 cents?
Alfalfa sprouts = $ 1.99 for the box, I needed only a little
Provolone cheese = 49 cents (1 slice)
Bread= 50 cents
Turkey= 45 cents

There's enough turkey left to make 4 more sandwiches :)
